INTERNATIONAL WORKCAMPS IN INDIA 2018
Every year, thousands of refugees come to India from nearby countries and go from small towns and villages to the big cities. Most of these families are living in very poor conditions in slums or on street corners. The Indian government and society are busy dealing with other issues and therefore, this matter remains unsolved. That is why our partner Smile Society has projects to help these unfortunate families and their children in different locations in and around Kolkata city. Their mission is to bring smiles on children’s faces.
We need energetic volunteers with open minds. You need to be strong and flexible. India is a beautiful country but can be challenging for some people. Local culture and people are interesting however, the weather is hot and humid in summer. Get ready to explore an amazing country full of surprises. Due to big cultural differences some volunteers might face cultural shock! Our request to all new comers is to read about India and Indian culture as much as possible before you apply for the project. If you have any queries, feel free to contact us by mail at acopia.intern@gmail.com
