Experience feedback
During my internship at ACOPIA, I have had a variety of different tasks and responsibilities. Towards the beginning of my internship, I had to help translate the website into German and English as well as create social media content to keep our followers engaged. During this time the structure of posts was a bit unclear but we still managed to make it work. In the. Beginning we noticed that the Instagram feed of ACOPIA was quite messy and not organized so Sandra and I began to slowly create a branding:
We noticed that this was working well for us so we continued posting with a specific color scheme etc. Around this time, boss proposed the idea of individual projects and a musical. At first, I was a little bit worried as I have never worked on a musical before and had no experience regarding this. But we luckily had help of a musical instructor who helped us 2 times a week and worked with our musical actors. During this time, Nattaya, Sarah, Sandra and I created a music video with our trainees Hina and Mimi and had a lot of fun doing this.
The next thing I focused on was gathering footage and information for my personal project as well as creating a branding for ACOPIA’s social media along with Sandra who put together a brand book for ACOPIA.
Working on my personal project, ‘The history and growth of HipHop and RnB in South Korea’, was very fun as I was able to go to many different concerts and events to get more insight on these topics and was able to work on something that was extremely interesting and helped me learn a lot more about the industry. Alongside working on my personal project, I also worked on the now formed ‘SNS Management Team’ formed by our intern manager Nadia, who put a lot of work into making sure everyone has equally divided tasks. Unfortunately, it sometimes felt like only a few people were actually working properly which was unfair towards Nadia and us who worked hard to make sure we achieve ACOPIA’s goals. Despite this, we were able to accomplish a lot of things for example: sending out messages to influencers about our KTC Program, filming street interviews, filming with the interns, filming the vocal lessons, filming TikTok challenges, etc. All of this was very fun and though sometimes it was challenging I would say that I enjoyed it a lot. To conclude, I believe this internship did go hand-in-hand with my studies, even though I originally did not apply to this internship to work on social media or content creation but to do management and ‘song composing’ which were options at the time I applied last year. I surprisingly enjoyed working on filming YouTube videos and creating social media posts for ACOPIA’s Instagram and TikTok. The thing I appreciate the most about this internship is the unforgettable friendships I was able to form with other interns, these people have become my friends for life and without our Internship at ACOPIA I would have never met them.
