새로운 년도를 맞이하여 그동안 그려내보고 싶었던 스타일에 도전하는 것이 나의 큰 목표였다. 그려내야한다는 강박에서 벗어나서 상황을 느끼고 감정에 충실한 그림을 그려내고자 하였다. 강렬한 햇살 속에서 드리워진 자연을 통해 떠오르는 새해와 빛으로 나의 도전과 시작을 나타내고 싶었다.

Translation:

My big goal was to challenge the style I had wanted to draw in the new year. I tried to get away from the compulsion to draw and feel the situation and draw a picture faithful to my emotions. I wanted to show my challenge and start with the new year and light rising through nature cast in the intense sunlight.
