HIROBA KOREAN LANGUAGE LESSON
``Hiroba Korean Language Class'' is a foreign countries - Korean communication program that has been sponsored by the Korean NGO Asia Hope Camp Organization since 2010. This is a individual Korean language and culture communication class taught by volunteer instructors. Participants pay a lesson fee of 20,000 to 30,000 won per two hours. The money is used for the operating costs of the communication classroom (staff personnel costs, transportation costs for volunteer instructors, management costs, etc.). "Korea Plaza Plaza Co., Ltd." is a company established to support the activities of the Asia Hope Camp Organization. The space of "Hiroba Korean Class" is provided free of charge by "Korea Plaza Plaza" to "Asia Hope Camp Organization".
■Background :
・Hiroba Lounge is a space established in 2012 by the NGO Asia Hope Camp Organization (registered with Seoul City) to achieve its goals. Launching the Asia Hope Camp (volunteer record of the Tohoku earthquake)
・Individual Korean language support started from June 1, 2014.
・From October 13, 2014, it will be used as a dedicated lounge for private Korean lessons.
・Relocated to Yeongnam-dong (10 minutes walk from Hongdae Station) from June 1, 2016.
・Relocated to Acopia Cafe (5 minutes walk from Hongdae Station) from September 26, 2016.
・Online Korean started in August 2020
・Start using the Hongdae K Culture Lounge from April 2023
・Starts at ACOPIA LONGE from July 2023
* We have a cooperative relationship with Tokyo Japanese Volunteer Network (KNVN).
■Lesson time
*One session is 120 minutes (110 minutes class, 10 minutes break). Please select your desired time slot.

■Textbook
・If you need teaching materials or materials for beginners, please bring your own teaching materials and materials! If you would like to have a free talk, we recommend that you come up with a topic for your talk.
■Lesson details
Students can proceed with the class while discussing with the instructor the content, methods, and themes that they would like to study.
I think it would be better to have teaching materials for those from the basic level to TOPIK level 2 level (beginner course). If you have teaching materials that you have, I think it is important to first study the basic content until you can understand one book.
If you are at intermediate level or above and would like to improve your conversation skills, don't be embarrassed even if you make mistakes in pronunciation or grammar. Talk to them using the Korean expressions you know, and ask them to teach you more appropriate expressions and expressions that are often used. Of course, I think it would be good for intermediate and above students to use the teaching materials as well. The content of the lessons is wide-ranging depending on your level and purpose, and you can study at your own pace, which is the best part of one-on-one lessons.
■Others
・Class reservations are made on a monthly basis, and tuition fees are paid on the first class day of each month.
・Water and coffee are available for drinks. (You can bring your own drinks)

▶Process to start
① If this is your first time, apply for the course using the homepage application form. If it is your second time or later, please contact us by email, KAKAO, or LINE.
*Please make reservations for each month (May, June, July...). (Even once a month is possible)
②Staff will match instructors according to desired conditions. Basically, we will arrange everything other than the instructor's gender.
③We will notify you of the class schedule via email (KAKAO, LINE).
④Pay the tuition fee (1. Deposit to Japanese account, 2. Deposit to Korean account, 3. Pay in cash on site)
*If paying by cash, please be prepared in advance.
⑤ Start of course
⑥If you would like to continue taking the course, please contact us via email (hiroba.story@gmail.com), KAKAO, or LINE contact as soon as your next desired schedule is decided.
*Reception period is from 1 month to 1 week before the desired date of enrollment. Once you have applied, we will be able to teach you if we find an instructor who can teach you! If you have a preferred instructor, please let us know ^^
▶Rules
・If you wish to cancel a class, be sure to notify the "Hiroba staff" by email the day before. Please refrain from canceling or changing your reservation by discussing directly with the instructor.
・Tuition fees are paid in one lump sum every month.
*For first-time students, you can apply for a month's worth of lessons after your first class.
・If you are unable to come within 30 minutes without contacting us on the day of the class, your class will be automatically canceled.
・Please refrain from canceling on the day of the class.
・If you wish to change instructors, please contact our staff by email.
・Classes must be held in “ACOPIA LOUNGE”. Please do not it elsewhere.

・Changing the class schedule after paying the tuition fee
→Changes can be made within the month once a month (*Please contact us by 2 business days before the class day)
・Cancellation of classes after payment of tuition fees
→Canceled classes will be counted as classes held and will not be refunded.
*Although this is a one-on-one lesson, the combination of instructor and student is temporary for the purpose of the class and may be changed as the class progresses.
