About me
Internship period : June 5th 2021 to September 5th 2021
Hi, Here's my introduction:
Hi, I’m Jacques! I’m currently a senior in high school at the Lycee Francais de New York and am trying to pursue a major in the arts in the future.
For the past 3 months I have been a part of ACOPIA’s remote internship program. I decided to join ACOPIA because it is unique in offering high schoolers exposure to an authentic foreign working environment online, and a working plan tailored to their interests.
I’ve worked on creating the ACOPIA Gallery, an online and offline gallery that features young artists from across Asia (Myanmar, Vietnam, Nepal, Kazakhstan and more). I helped in the process of finding these young artists on social media, contacting them, and asking for the information needed for the gallery.
While I am sad that I was not able to have the cultural experience of working in person, I’m grateful to ACOPIA for the collaborative and efficient working environment they created online, and the experience has definitely opened the door for studying or working abroad in the future.
ACOPIA’s goal for a peaceful multicultural world and the journey of creating the gallery have also ignited my interest in other cultures by introducing me to talented new artists from lesser known areas, who even inspire me and my own art practice.
ACOPIA supports you in chasing your dreams!
Thank you!
