artist’s note

캔버스위에물감을 올리고 닦아내기를 반복하여 여러번 올린 색감으로 피부에 비치는 근육과 핏줄 그리고 살의 촉각까지 살려내고자했다 본인에게 피부 혹은 껍질을 표현하는 감각은 정신의 깊은 곳에 있는 것이 아니라 내부와 외부의 경계 에 위치한 욕망경험에서 발생하는 것이라고 본다.

Translation:

I tried to revive the muscles, blood vessels, and touch of the skin with colors that I put on the canvas and wiped it repeatedly.

I believe that the sense of expressing the skin or shell to yourself arises not from the deep inside the mind, but from the experience of desire located at the boundary between the inside and outside.
